Does anyone know how to contact ASA pens for replacement parts. I managed to break the section on my ASA Translucent Acrylic Nauka Fountain Pen and would like a replacement.

I am more than happy to pay for it.

I have been in touch through the contact link on the site, but have had no response. Any help is appreciated.

Has he been able to actually replace it? Or did you order a new pen? It looks like I am going to face a crack soon because of my attemtps to clean the cap threads near the clip. I spotted a scratch but do not know if it will crack.

Someone got in touch saying that they parts were hand made so the part could not be replaced. I was offered, instead, to buy a new pen of the same model for a reduced price... but I sent a follow up question and never got a response.

Sadly no resolution for me. Hopefully you will have better luck.

Usually, in case of handmade pens, you send the entire pen back and the replacement part is made around the existing pen.

Try sending it back, might be cheaper?

Sorry... they were not emails, they were personal messages on fpn (here)

I will put them down here:

Hi Subramaniam,

Thank you very much, that is a very generous offer. Please let me know what paypal account you would like me to send the money to and I will do it now.

Best regards,

William

Guys, I have a scratch on my Nauka cap and Mr Subramanium duly offered me to send it to him when desired and he would turn a new one for me. Great customer service I think. I need to learn to take care of my pens better :(

As for communication, I think its better if you can contact him over Whatsapp. Never have my messages been unattended.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
