Beautiful pen! Congratulations :) and welcome to FPN!

May I ask if it's a bespoke flexible nib, why are you pressing down on the nib itself to produce line variation? I have a feeling it'll eventually damage the pen on the long-run, perhaps its customized flex should be adequate?

I have asked myself the same question. I worry about placing too much pressure on the nib.

It's a wonderful pen. Thank you for sharing it here. Your photos and the video made my day.

Thanks for sharing! It's always nice to see a unique nib out in the wild. You did not mention whether it's from the bespoke Montblanc service or whether it's modified by a nibmeister? I hope it's part of the Bespoke service because Axel told me they also have a flexible nib.

I hope you don't mind if I offer a suggestion?

It's a bit scary when I see collectors use their flex nib with their pens held in a normal grip. If you notice in your video, you are putting a lot more pressure on the right tine than on the left. In the long run it will really affect the performance of the pen. Try shifting your pen angle so that it's aligned with your down stroke so that you put even pressure on both tines.

as u mentioned, this is montblanc's bespoke special nib

axel give written reply to my question

first question is "is this more flexible than mb vintage like L139 or 234 1/2?"

second is "what's THE main charicteristic of nib"

Great ink flow. Does it have the standard feed or did they do anything special to help it keep up?

Beautiful!

mb's bespoke team changed feed shape

I read it and while understand that such nibs need presurre applied to being out characteristics, actually pressing the tines doesnt feel right to me :/

i coundnt more agree with it

but when i asked that to mb, they said that if use wet noodle nib, it unable to withstand pen(especially skeleton)weight

in short, they make on purpose

so im going to order another nib with my elb phillharmonic 149

These comments make me sad as I sympathise with Ruaidhri, having great difficulties in being taken seriously. Or being taken at all (no off-colors jokes, please!) In spite of overwhelming odds,  Ruaidhri -now I know how to spell it- made a courageous decision and stuck to it. I was diagnosed with a similar growth in a place I will not reveal. Oh, well, if you insist it was Mount Sinai Hospital. But I firmly intend to walk in Ruaidhri's footsteps, if he will let me, on my next visit to Dublin.

Reminds me of the day my associates and I developed a cure for all mankind's ills and mistakenly wrote it down with invisible ink.

Was that the end of the Laboratory? Somehow the exactitude created a fully destructive device, as always!

"Thank Heavens! I thought you were going to tell me I had Dandruff!"  So they couldn't come up with something really worthy of slipping you the Mickey Finn?? OH MY, and folate? Maybe more dandelion green salad for you! ...
