My newest Estie acquisition arrived today. The blue transitional J, 1555 Gregg nib. Decided to take a family photo. Picked up this ready to use cigar box to to use for pens at a local smoke shop while running errands today. (freebie)

 

The transitional is in need of a sac, and thus far the section has been very stubborn....

Sorry to urge avoiding that "empty space abhorrence law thing" ;-) no critique intended. :-)

Lamy faux or no isn't even quite an apples vs oranges substitute.

Excepting my stickered blue, once the board changes settle, should throw my own on the c board. They should be elsewhere, in use.

      I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

      Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

      I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature.
