Parker Nib Exchange

Recommended Posts

Every Vector I have bought over many years has had a medium nib, so I bought a new Vector with the plan to send it in to have the nib swapped to a fine.

I sent it to Parker on 10 Jan 2017, and got it back on the 30 Jan.

Am very pleased with it, it writes how I had hoped for.

The nib had been tested as there was blue ink in the feed, plus a surprise was the fitting of a slide converter, marked 'Made in UK'.

It's the type of converter where the agitator inside is not a ball bearing but a steel tube type. (I could post a photo if asked.)

Also included one new Quink cartridge.

Nice that you got the F nib on your pen. Usually the Vector comes with M nib.

I got three F nibs complete with sections as gift from a vintage dealer that I buy my pens from. And a box full of carts. Both Parker and Sheaffer.

And, yes I have seen the slide converters with the steel tube type agitators. I may have a few fitted in my Vectors.

These comments make me sad as I sympathise with Ruaidhri, having great difficulties in being taken seriously. Or being taken at all (no off-colors jokes, please!) In spite of overwhelming odds,  Ruaidhri -now I know how to spell it- made a courageous decision and stuck to it. I was diagnosed with a similar growth in a place I will not reveal. Oh, well, if you insist it was Mount Sinai Hospital. But I firmly intend to walk in Ruaidhri's footsteps, if he will let me, on my next visit to Dublin.

Reminds me of the day my associates and I developed a cure for all mankind's ills and mistakenly wrote it down with invisible ink.

Was that the end of the Laboratory? Somehow the exactitude created a fully destructive device, as always!

Cold fusion, down the toilet? Seems fitting!

"Thank Heavens! I thought you were going to tell me I had Dandruff!"  So they couldn't come up with something really worthy of slipping you the Mickey Finn?? OH MY, and folate? Maybe more dandelion green salad for you! ...
