J Herbin Emerald Of Chivor 1670

I recently received a sample of this ink. I don't normally go for glitter inks and I wouldn't get this one. It's not bad at all, and the flow is very good. Since this was a sample I can't say whether I received the proper amount of glitter bits. It sheens amazingly on Tomoe River.

Pen: Edison Premiere (M-steel)

Papers: MvL=Mohawk via Linen, TR=Tomoe River, Hij=Hammermill 28 lb inkjet, Rhodia=Rhodia 90g ivory.

Camera: iPhone 7

No sheen on MvL or Hij.

A feeble attempt to capture the sheen. It's much more dramatic in the flesh.

I try to keep a pen filled with this ink all the time. It is simply breathtaking on Tomoe River paper! You captured the sheen quite nicely.

I found that it clogs my pens and then is very difficult to clean out of the pen. I had a bottle and after using it a few times gave it to someone else. He had the same problems with it that I did, and passed the bottle on to yet another person.

I know it didn't sheen on the other paper, but did it still glitter? Thank you for the review!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

On the Mohawk and the Hammermill inkjet papers, no sheen, no glitter. But these are fairly absorbent papers.

That's odd, I have found Chivor to glitter (no sheen) even on Moleskin and chep copy papers. Feathering is controlled though it bleeds like crazy. Maybe it's a sample inconsistency? (I have a bottle)

Quite possible it being a sample. There was only a few particles at the bottom of the vial so that could explain why.

Yes it can feather and bleeds through on absorbing paper. However it definitely shows beautiful red sheen on smoother (preferably coated) paper like so:
