Silviu
Hi, Another question regarding the nib of a petite high top malachite green button filler 221.What nibs have "D" inside the MB star? According to the MB diary this pen should have a no.1 nib. Here are some pics of the pen & nib:

konis
For me not.In Polish language word "Pen" is a man, and word "Nib" is a girl.30 years is not so much for this marriage. regards

fountainpende
as Konis noted ... ... these are hard (rigid) nibs to make copies on carbon paper. "D" stands for "Durchschreibfeder" ... the German word for this special nib type. These nibs were around for many years ... even in the 20ties and of course also later. __________________________________ www.fountainpen.de - the website for Montblanc and Astoria collectors
Silviu
Thanks! So is there a possibility the nib is original for the 1935/6 221 model?
fountainpende
to me, the nib seems fine ... see here for an 222 this one definitely has the "right nib and your nib seems to be the same type ... http://fountainpen.de/old-222-malachite.htm __________________________________ www.fountainpen.de - the website for Montblanc and Astoria collectors
