Lucky me! I just picked up a bottle of Rotten Green from Vaness at the Dallas Pen Show. Did notknow it was discontinued.

A beautiful green, despite I prefer the now discontinued 'Rotten Green'. This is my favorite KZWI green.

Rotten Green is certainly not discontinued :) Where did you hear that?

@Lgsoltek, I'm so glad you like it :) This is my private favourite from the whole our IG range ;)

Regards, Agnieszka vel Mrs. KWZI

Really is discontinued? Kondrad or Agnieszka from KWZ ink did't say that, but I didn't ask. They have it. I pick up w sample, but I prefer Foggy Green. Is similar to Rotten, very much, but less dirty, more green

Btw, I guess I'll have to start the social media chanel of the brand, so any news or changes will be easy to follow...

I've been thinking of this for over a year, but Konrad gives me too much work to do :D :D :D

ops, sorry Agnieszka,

when I bought my bottle in July from you, you said to me: 'Rotten Green is also available as a discounted from a former stock.'

I just understood your words wrongly. My apologizes. I will be much more cautious in future.

For me Rotten Green is the best murky green I have tried so far. A pleasure to write with it (despite of that intense odor).

  • 4 years later...

I have found this is a fairly close substitute for Private Reserve Avacado (sic) for writing. Remarkably, for a KWZ IG Ink, I haven’t seen much darkening when it dries. It is well mannered, not dry, and a lovely, saturated medium-dark green, not too blue, not too yellow for my taste . Sailor Epinard green may be a slightly closer match, but this ink checks all the boxes for me for writing, and it has water resistance for those whom this is an important feature.

Yeah, I have a bottle of this, and like it very much. I remember I picked this over some of their other IG greens because it was darker and less blue leaning.

Hmmm.... Just realized I haven't used it for a while; it's been buried under a bunch of new samples....

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
