queerspaceman
hey all,i've seen a lot about replacing the nib in a jinhao 450 or 750 with a zebra G nib to get a flexy fountain pen, and I was wondering if the same would be possible a 599, because I'd really like a demonstrator. thanks for any advice! LizEF
Based on this video by SBRE Brown, the 599 has a #5 nib. The x450 and x750 have #6 nibs. So, no, I don't believe you'll be able to use a Zebra G nib on the Jinhao 599.

ac12
The Nikko G might fit the feed of the 599 better. I think the Nikko G has a tighter radius than the Zebra G. At least that is one reason why Michael Sull said he prefers the Nikko G over the Zebra G. You do realize that you will have to periodically replace the nib, as even though they are chrome plated, the G nibs WILL corrode under constant contact with ink.
