Which Green?

Hey guys, I'm thinking of getting a green ink, which I really want to be dark, have some shading going and have a good flow.

But there are not much good quality video reviews on green inks that I can check out.

The other problem is that I have brand limitation. I only can get one of these brands:

Parker, Sheaffer, Waterman, Lamy, Caran D'ach, Mont blanc, Diplomat, Cross.

I'm currently using waterman absolute brown which I really love and my pen is sheaffer 300. What do you think?

Would Montblanc Irish Green be dark enough for you?

I believe so. Montblanc inks generally behave very well.

Of the ink brands on your list I've only used the Montblanc and Caran D'ach inks. The Caran D'ach Vibrant Green sample I had was way to bright for my tastes and I didn't even get through the entire fill on the Lamy 2000, although it did flow well and show some shading.

My current favorite inks are Montblanc, and I've been using Irish Green for a couple of weeks now. It's not a terribly dark green but just dark enough for daily writing, imo. I find Montblanc inks to flow well, not too wet or too dry; they do very well in my wet and dry writers. The Irish Green also shows some decent shading with the right nib.

Waterman green is nice. It is a green with a tint of blue. It gets darker with a WET pen. But this seems to vary, as it behaves differently all of my pens, some lighter and some DARK.

Of the brands you listed, if Montblanc Irish Green is to your taste, I'd say that is your best choice.
