As already rumored Pelikan has announced yesterday that they will launch a new limited edition Raden fountain pen. Shipping will start in June or July 2016. The Pelikan Limited Edition Souverän M1000 Raden Sunrise Red fountain pen is limited to 333 pieces worlwide.

The Raden technique is used on this pen to accentuate the classic look of the Souverän pens. In a first step the pen receives a deep red urushi base. In the next step of the manufacturing process the classic Pelikan stripes are put on the pen using abalone shells. The result is stunning.

Oh! Oh, my! The resolution on the photos is not particularly sharp, but still the pen example is lovely. I can imagine it is stunning in person. Equally stunning is the price. Excuse me while I run to the medicine cabinet to take my heart medication. :crybaby:

For this pen we offer free shipment to most countries.

Also we can offer a choice of nibs for this pen, including EF, F, M, B, OB and BB.

Yeah, what he said.... That's nearly 4 months' worth of car payments for me (or two months' worth for each vehicle) :yikes:

I will console myself by telling myself that an M1000 is way too big a pen for me anyway.... As I'm wiping the drool off my chin (which, BTW, is on the floor).
