Great report! Thank you!

So what exactly is the Sailor Old Fashioned? I looks like a demo PG but I can't seem to find any info on it.

Old Fashioned is based on the cocktail series like the Mojito, Picadilly square

https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/topic/297756-cocktail-series-old-fashioned/

I made a post long time ago that probably got sunked into the net abyss

I'm not sure if it's a JP only release or it got out

available only in M and MF

seems to be a JP only release considering to which outlets Sailor only specified...

丸善丸の内本店(03-5288-8881)

丸善日本橋店(03-6214-2001)

伊勢丹新宿店(03-3352-1111)

高島屋日本橋店(3246-5547)

伊東屋横浜店(045-317-7381)

K. ITOYA(03-3561-8311)

and Sailor posted the info once the stocks ran dry... SO AWEFUL OF THEM :< pen got out on October, Sailor website published the info on december, I saw the picture on september

Great report!

Loved the danbo filling the Old Fashioned with Hibiki. That's just nuts.

*laughs* It was the only whisky I had!

That "Pikachu" Sapporo Mini is so cool that it set me on a search for the yellow one, but I think the black and yellow is too much better for me to be satisfied with the yellow.

We are looking forward to your posts, perhaps even your own thread telling of your exploits in Japan last month.

*laughs* Hello you evil people!

You won't believe what I saw. Whole body, cap and ends included, ivory white Sailor. Ivory white Sailor with pearlescent pink sheen, and pearlescent blue sheen. Another in a similar style to the Four Seasons Yukitsubaki but with wispy green pine leaves throughout the body. Very pretty. Four apparently super-exclusive small-run private comissions. No one is going to believe me.

Great pen haul. Love the Pilot capless with the blue cloud motif. Also interested in your experience with the FA nib in size 15. Does the feed keep up with moderately paced flex writing? Can't wait for more pen reviews and I really enjoyed your photographs in this overview. Thank you for taking the time required to post this great info.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
