Is My Konrad Flex Pen Broken?

I bought this pen from Goulet Pens via 65daigou (mail forwarder) and it came in a crushed box. While using it, I encountered endless problems; the pen perpetually railroaded, no matter how slowly I wrote and in which orientation. It railroaded at the slightest amount of encouragement! I have flushed this pen before and it only barely improved the situation. '

 

Upon taking a closer look, I noticed the tines and nib shape were weird-looking... for those of you who also own Konrad Flexes, is this a normal thing or do I have to get this pen replaced/fixed?

it seems like the tines are slightly pointing up, however noodles are fussy pens, i own a konrad and a creeper as well, have you tried different inks or adjusting the nib-feed postiton?

No, I have yet to try another ink. How do you adjust nib-feed positions though? I'm afraid that I will cause some irreversible damage instead.

Noodler's pens are temperamental. I've got an Ebonite Konrad that I've had two nibs in, and it still doesn't write reliably. From the top, that nib tip does look funny. It looks like the slit at the tip is wider at the top than at the bottom due to the tip being bent upward. The nib slit should be parallel. I would mention the issue to Goulet's and see if they can't sort it out for you. I should think that if the pen arrived to you that way, you'd be entitled to a replacement nib at least.

I had another thought. You could also contact Luxury Brands. They are the distributor for Noodler's products. They may just send you a new nib at no charge.
