That is a beautifully, understated yet very classy pen!!! Love the rich color. What would it take to get hold of one of these for my collection?

nice pen. how is the nib?

Nib is what disappoints in this pen. I had to spend some time to polish it to use it. I will replacing it with a jowo/schmidt nib soon.

Nice Review. Guider has tried to innovate with pen designs but need to do a bit more in the Nib Department.

Update to this pen review:

As I said in the review the nib was not up to the mark. Even though I tried to polish the nib and it became usable, I was not happy with its performance. I got a few Jowo Nibs from ASA pens and a few Ambitions nibs from the groupbuy that Vaibhav organised. I wanted to use one of those nibs in this pen.

Jowo #6 nib : I was not able to insert the nib completely into the section. It was too tight. The original guider nib was smaller in length. So, I shaved off a bit of the feed where it has accommodate the extra length of the Jowo nib. After that I was able to insert the nib properly and was able to get good ink flow. It wrote well. But, the wings of the nib were too wide for the cap to close. So, it did not work out :-(. I was hesitant to tinker with the Jowo nib and decided to wait for the Ambitious nibs to arrive.

Ambitious #6 nib: As the feed was already slimmed down to accommodate the Jowo nib, inserting the Ambitious nib was not a problem. The ink flow was good and it wrote very well. Again, the wings were too wide for the cap to close. I squeezed the wings closer to the feed with pliers. I was able to bend the Ambitious nib easily and it did not change the tine spacing. With this adjustment, I was able to close the pen properly and retain the writing performance. I am using Diamine Ancient Copper in it and very happy with it. Now I have a beautiful with a writing performance to match.

I think Guider should offer this pen with Ambitious nib even if that warrants a higher price. It is a great injustice to the beauty of the pen to ship it with the nib that it came with.

Not sure if this has been suggested already but would a setting for localized regions or chapters in FPN be helpful? I don't know if there is a way to find local FPN members who would be nearby. I don't know if we want to be discoverable but a setting to know how many members are in 25, 50, or a 100 miles of each other might be helpful. We can create a regions specific network like Craigslist where people could use that to connect with nearby members, conduct in person sales, arrange FPN meetups

Hi again all, I forgot to tell y'all that I made the post about Sweden ink PIF. Most have probably found it long ago, but here's a link, anyway:

I read your blog post and all the replies with much interest. I'm a FP user in Australia. Been part of this forum for years but rarely post. I did come across your ink sharing thread and considered participation. For me it's not lack of interest but lack of time to play around with FP and inks. I'd feel bad to put my hand up for the box and just have it sit until gosh knows when...   I also think that the FP community in Australia is smaller, and I wonder how many in the community are

Even so, you'd end up with a fragmented list, and it becomes an O(N²) process for each prospective requestor to check what is available: effectively recreate the list of currently active servers (without any reliable up-to-date info upfront about the inks and number of samples on offer in the thread) from the sequential list of posts, which may be spread over two or even more pages, and then query each server independently to check what is currently on offer.   It comes down to not hav
