Alexcat
Does anyone know of a UK source for a fude type dip pen nib? Sandy1
Hi, Having browsed through many offerings of dip pen nibs, I have yet to come across Fude dip pen nib. I've been using an inexpensive Sailor DE which has a Fude nib, so conversion of that nib [+feed] to dip pen use might be a vector of pursuit. Also consider the Chinese pens with Fude nibs for conversion and/or parts. I look forward to other Members' findings and suggestions. aucheukyan
if you are buying a fude nib, why not just get a brush?
dcwaites
Many of the #5 and #6 FP nibs will fit into dip pen holders like the Tachikawa. I would simply buy a cheap (~$5) Chinese fountain pen with a fude nib (Duke and Leonardo both have models) and fit the nib to a dip pen holder. “Them as can do has to do for them as can’t. ac12
Curiosity. I like trying new things. Alex Get an oblique dip pen holder with a brass flange. The flange can be bent to give you the same effect as a fude nib, where the tip of the nib is at a shallower angle to the paper than the shaft of the holder.
