I'm the owner of that pen and there seems to be a bit confusion. The pen is number 7 of the first production run. 132 is the maximum number that will be produced, hence the reference 7/132.

The number is inscribed on the titanium clip as "FPN #007 / 132"

I've edited the ad to make it more clear (I hope ;) )

Thank you, Mulrich.

It is unfortunately not going as fast as I hoped it would - too many houses with damage, and only a limited number of contractors -, which is one of the reasons we started tackling a lot of stuff ourselves, apart from the fact that quite a bit of work needed to be done which was not covered by insurance. We hope all is done by the end of January, after which we can start redecorating and moving stuff into the basement once more.

Fortunately for now, as there is less to do by ourselves, there will be more time to spend (visibly) on FPN again :).

Warm regards, Wim

Thanks for the update, Wim, and glad to hear that your home is coming along. Few things are more disrupting and distressful than having your home ripped away from you. Fingers crossed things move quickly from here.

N.B.:

For those of you who have been considering one of our pens, CONID agreed to make a few more pens available to those who are interested.

However, you have to react quickly. Any extra pens should be produced by the end of this week, or if there is more than anticipated interest, by the end of next week. This does mean that these pens will arrive in time for Christmas.

Please do realize that in order for us to be able to pay for these pens, we need fully paid up orders, and considering the speed with which these pens are going to be produced, payment in euros.

In short: if you are interested, still want one this year, and have the funds available, get one right now, or at least ideally within the next 48 hours or thereabouts, to guarantee your pen will be ready and available in time.

CONID has been and is doing us a great favour, and all work done to check pen, collect them do QA and nib work is all done by our volunteers, and any profit we make goes towards the hosting and license costs for FPN to keep running.

You may order your FPN Blue Pearl LE here:

Enjoy!

Warm regards, Wim

  • 3 weeks later...

Hi wimg:

Is it still possible to order an extra nib to go with my FPN pen order?

Yes, you can, just associate it with your previous order.

We only have a very limited number of extra nibs, however.

HTH, warm regards, Wim

That was fast. Where do you live? Mine still shows it's in the Netherlands.

I have to check with the PO - it may be that "Sent to country of destination" not only means that it si in a holding area at the airport, past Customs over here, but that it may not be trackable any further with the NL tracking codes. I know they made change last year in that regard for the non-registered packages. However, the packages I sent out a week ago are all registered, with T&T, and insured. They also promise shipping times of 4 to 5 working days, to North America (USA and Canada) that is ....

Of course, one never knows how much is required to clear customs on the destination end, especially with Canada.

Warm regards, Wim

BTW, we have a few extra pens, as CONID graciously created a few more for us than ordered in the original batch ....

For the quick deciders ....

Took three days for it to show up in the USPS system. Now it's through customs and on it's way. Muahahahahahahahahaha

Mine was the same and it appeared on USPS this morning. I still don't have a delivery estimate but I'm hoping it arrives by Monday afternoon.

It's here. And it's beautiful. Also, the box is huge! Like, absolutely huge! Comparing it to the CAISO demonstrator, they're both quite lovely, but I have to say, the material is stunning.

Some photos are attached. Please disregard their quality as they were taken on my cellphone; haven't had a chance to take higher-quality images in the studio yet. These are a comparison of the 2015 FPN Blue Pearl, the Kingsize CAISO Demonstrator, and the Slimline.
