Hello. Mine shows an order for the flat end. I would like the round end, please. I don't enjoy the looks of flat-ended pens. Thanks :-).

Do you know if the ranga zeal fitted with 40mm nib can later be swapped with the 35mm nib? Will the feed be ok with it? Reading through the other topic on ambitious nibs, sounds like it could. If that is true, I am quite interested to get some 35mm nobs too.

:P what you think of me is none of my business ;)

I would like a Zeal in No. 15 Blue and Yellow, Matte finish, Round ends, Chrome JOWO B nib, Chrome clip, and I would like the cap completely ebonite, with no acrylic finial.

I also would like to order at the same time a Model 3C in No. 13 Green and Pale Yellow with a polished finish and chrome clip. I would like the section made to fit a JOWO nib but I don't need an actual nib as I have a spare one for it.

Thanks,

Is there still time to get in line for this? Also, if I want a stub nib, what are my options: from within the nibs offered or nibs I can buy from market for this pen?

Like the bakul finish... Think I'm gonna go for that

Can I use a Schmidt #5 stub or a Bock stub on it? I will buy with standard nib, and then do the replacement myself.

What I am trying to know is the nibs I can use to replace the stock offering.

It depends. If you purchase an Eyedropper, you can put in a nib that fits the feed. I have had good success with Ranga. If you get a Schmidt or JOWO, you will need a similar nib unit because Kandan will have threads of a specific dimension cut in the section.

Blue/White Swirls

P-6

Round

Eyedropper

Polished Ebonite only, rough/bakul acrylic only

Ambitious 40mm nib

Gold clip

Gold nib (only option I think)

If you take the JoWo #6 nib option you can later replace it with 1.1 stub or 1.5 stub which is available in market

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
