Joining The Club... With A Pilot Custom 823

Steel and gold nib sizes write differently. Gold is more wider than steel. Also steel is more toothy.

Yeah I think I need to get some Metropolitans in different nib sizes so I can get a feel for what my next "real" Pilot acquisition will be. A Medium might well be right for the big book.

+1 on the 823.

I have a black one with an XF nib and I love it. I used to write a lot with Sakura pens but the 823 easily outperforms those. And with about 2.5ml I refill it about every 10-14 days. Also the XF is really close to my 0.2mm Rotring Isograph.

I wish the 845 had the 823's filling mechanism as I'd prefer ebonite to plastic.

Hello,

How did you get EF nib with 823? I don't think that is available.

Best Regards

The 823 was my first expensive pen. I had that sick feeling after buying it, but once it arrived, I was ridiculously excited. I still enjoy writing with it. I wish I'd been able to purchase one in the color you have, but I am nevertheless quite satisfied with it.

I buy my pens for writing, so may yours give you many years of writing!
