In Indian Fountain Pen industry or Circles, Dr. Sreekumar is quite known for his hand-turned fountain pens and almost 20 types of nib tuning. However recently he has shelved in to making fountain pen inks under the brand name of KRISHNA.

I am really happy to see someone in India has taken initiative to standup and make good quality and non standard color Inks.

These inks are sold for Rs. 100 (1.5 USD) each for 30 ml ink bottle plus shipping.

The inks that are being produced are currently limited to 28 nos. :

  1. GOLD RUSH
  2. MEADOW GREEN
  3. BLUE MAGIC
  4. AFTER DARK
  5. SAPPHIRE BLUE
  6. LAKE BLUE
  7. BRONZE LEAF
  8. ORANGE CRUSH
  9. AUTUMN
  10. SINDHOOR
  11. GLORY VINE
  12. DARK ROSE
  13. NJAVAL
  14. WILD CHERRY
  15. PURPLE
  16. PEACOCK
  17. YELLOW VALLEY
  18. MELLOW BLUE
  19. VIVID VIOLET
  20. ORCHARD LILY
  21. DARK CHOCOLATE
  22. COOL BREEZE
  23. SILENT NIGHT SKY
  24. FORGET ME NOT
  25. SKY BLUE
  26. GHAT GREEN
  27. PUMPKIN
  28. GIRL PINK

Great review Vaibhav and as usual thank you for the effort.

I have got a bunch of Krishna Inks myself and so far I am very please with the colours I have used. In particular I am astounded by the beauty of the Peacock colour and the bronze looks lovely as well. Kudos to SK and others for making these available to us.

Love the shading that the bronze gives. It reminds me of Noodlers Golden Brown. Nice review, too.

Ink are good but are priced around pelikan prices

Amarjit... Prices are cheaper than Pelikan Prices... And there are 28 colors... which pelikan dont have....this is a tremendous effort by individual...

Silent night sky, orchard Lily, yellow valley and Njaval all look good.

yes...and even names are also amazing

Dunno about anyone else, but

When they become more widely available, it would be exciting to have an ensemble set with all 28 colours. I like getting smaller bottles with more shades to play with :) Kinda like the kid who had the big box of crayons in school, I've never grown up!

Seriously, I see a marketing opportunity here. There will be a tipping point/sweet spot for shipping costs that will allow multiple bottles in one shipment. If those containers are modest sized, like the J Herbin ones, it would just be a matter of determining efficient quantity rates.

KEEP CALM AND BOOGIE ON!

SILENCE IS GOLDEN, BUT DUCT TAPE IS SILVER.

I'm with you there: a complete set with small containers. And then go for big bottles once you know your favorites. That's why I have like two dozen 30ml Diamine bottles sitting on my desk, in the ink drawers, and anywhere there's space, really...

a fountain pen is physics in action... Proud member of the SuperPinks

Well Dr. Sreekumar is in process of making 5 ml samples available for people to try the inks... And if they like.. They can take big bottles...
