Super Flex G Nib On Fountain Pen

I was wondering about super flex nibs so i both a pack of G nibs and tried it on my Jinhao x450 and x740 and i must say i was quite surprised with the results, i am attaching a scanned page and a picture of the pens,

 

the feed did keep up, but if you write fast than i am sure the feed will have trouble.

i must say that once installed it is very very hard to get it out.

i have used black n red notebook paper, which for me is really really good, it is as good as rhodia.

I've done this with a Konrad. It's great fun but I haven't had a problem removing the nib. Do you heat set it?

The nibs have the same curve has a #6 feed. You can also put the, now homeless, Jinhao nibs in a standard dip pen holder. It gives you a way to test an ink as it would behave in a FP, but just rinse and shake off to clean.

KBeezie well for me it was a super flex coming from ahab and nib creeper. but what do i know i have only been using flex nibs for a couple of weeks.

 

for Vintage

i used Jinhao as they are very very cheap, i got them for 99 cent each. you can use ahab any #6 nib fountain pen.

 

missuslovett, Noodlers ahab's are like 20 to 50 dollars, and this combo cost me 2 dollars each. and i have nib creeper and ahab, both are alittle hard to flex. this nib is very very easy to flex, but yes they are not as smooth as noodlers nib. with this fountain pen (jinhao) it is very tight fit. and yes i did the heat set as there is some oil or something on the nib.

Red and black is Oxford Optic 90g paper...and a very good inexpensive paper. I a spiral note book of Oxford Optic and am happy with it.
