mehandiratta
Great review, lovely handwriting. I have been using a 580 EF for almost a year now, I have been very happy with that. I also have an Eco (Black, M point) that I have a lot of fun with, I use it for sparkly inks, currently Diamine Blue Pearl. I have been writing with a Goulet 1.1 nib for the last few months and finally got tired of the cheap Jinhao pen. Just ordered the clear Eco with the 1.1 nib. Should be a lot of fun.Thank you for the appreciation... Wow... 3 ecos now... Congrats vaibhav mehandiratta architect & fountain pen connoisseur blog | instagram | twitter
Peyton78
I had a black Eco for a few months and LOST IT a week or so ago. I read this review because I was wondering if I should go ahead and get another one. I didn't think the white one looked so nice but this review convinced me that I should get a new white Eco in Medium.
CDunkle
The only issue I have with this pen is the 1.1 stub nib is quite rounded at the tip, causing it to write more like a medium point than an italic. Any suggestions as to how to get more line width variation on this pen would be welcome. Thanks

How ever if you still think then you can grind a bit on a fine grit paper with horizontal sideways strokes.. With nib tip at 0 degree.. vaibhav mehandiratta architect & fountain pen connoisseur blog | instagram | twitter

migo984
I already had a White Eco (with a Pendleton Brown medium Butter Line Stub) and a Black with a fine nib (which is great, very smooth), but that I've now fitted with an 18k EF Eco nib from FPnibs.com in Cadiź. I love writing with both. Today my Clear arrived. I ordered a 1.1 stub to get the juicier feed, but as I prefer finer gauge nibs my partner did his magic & ground it for me. It's now a perfect 0.7 stub & writes beautifully. Can you tell I'm a BIG fan of these pens.....;-) Verba volant, scripta manent

Helen350
love the ink sloshing in and out... I love it Having already two Ecos in my collection, I thought I would pass up on the clear. I opted for the ASA Galactic vs. the clear Eco. But each time I read this pen review, it is a strong temptation to acquiesce. Thank goodness for May 11th & Mr. Subramaniam! CDunkle
Ahhhh, I have changed the ink in my Eco and replaced it with Diamine Red Dragon, and it is beautiful. Just what I wanted it to look like. I shall reserve the J. Herbin Blue Ocean for my medium point, which looks very good in that ink.
Fatestorm
Thank you very much for the review! Here's the thing with the Eco. It looks like a great pen. And it looks like a great value. The problem is, if I want to buy a TWSBI, I always think to myself, why not just go a bit more and spring for the 580? If some other manufacturer produced the Eco, I'd probably own one; but since it's TWSBI, and I like the 580 so much, I don't buy it, haha. With kind regards,-Matthew
