I'll add scans, but all of these pages were written with the same pen. A dear friend mailed the pen back to me inked and with a nice letter too.

I did a double take when I saw the title of the post. BUPA is a private healthcare provider in the UK :-)

I have a bottle of this ink, thanks to the kindness of Cyber6. I like it a lot.

There is also a bottle lost in space, aka the international postal system, which should have landed in Poland many week ago . If anyone happens to come across it by any chance please return to me :-(

It's an inexpensive pen, with an expensive custom nib. Jinhao x750. I'll send it to you to play with.

I visited online, but they are out of stock. Thanks for the help, though.

Glad I ordered when I did. This is one of Nathan's best efforts.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

I was in Toronto last June, and made a special trip to Wonder Pens (fighting rush hour traffic all the way from Hamilton, and then back out to the symposium I was attending (at a hotel out near Toronto International Airport). While I was there, I picked up a bottle of Blue Upon the Plains of Abraham. It's a nice color -- dark but still blue and not blue-black, IMO -- but is a bit on the dry side (or it might just have been the pen I tried it out in). I need to pull it back out and try it in something I know is a wet writer, and give it another whirl, though, once I get some pens emptied out and flushed -- I have too many pens in rotation at the moment. Again....

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

As a newbie, I am just now starting to purchase inks. This was the first I purchased from WonderPens and am loving it. I am using it in a TWSBI ECO and am having no problem with it. While I have not had a lot of inks to compare with, this will undoubtedly become a staple in my rapidly increasing stash!

I have yet to receive my Noodler's BUPA ink but I thought I'd relate a story.

As a Canadian, in Elementary School I learned about the historic battle that took place on the Plains of Abraham back in 1759 between The Brits and the French. I recalled the description of how the British troops scaled the treacherous cliffs leading from the St. Lawrence River up to the plains, under cover of dark to surprise the French.

I even recall pictures drawn showing steel jawed British troops climbing the near vertical "to fall is certain death" ramparts.

Then I visited Quebec City.

A four year old could stroll up to the plains and hardly break a sweat. I suspect the most difficult thing the Brits had to do was stay quiet.

Ink has something in common with both money and manure. It's only useful if it's spread around.

@Ruaidhri This was an absolutely wonderful bit of writing, and I hope that you're able to maintain the style once all of the medications are out of your system.  Take care and recover quickly!

These comments make me sad as I sympathise with Ruaidhri, having great difficulties in being taken seriously. Or being taken at all (no off-colors jokes, please!) In spite of overwhelming odds,  Ruaidhri -now I know how to spell it- made a courageous decision and stuck to it. I was diagnosed with a similar growth in a place I will not reveal. Oh, well, if you insist it was Mount Sinai Hospital. But I firmly intend to walk in Ruaidhri's footsteps, if he will let me, on my next visit to Dublin.

Reminds me of the day my associates and I developed a cure for all mankind's ills and mistakenly wrote it down with invisible ink.

Was that the end of the Laboratory? Somehow the exactitude created a fully destructive device, as always!
