Parker 45 Coronet Set

Happy days - today's post brought me the final pen that I needed to complete my set of Parker 45 Coronets :)

http://pencollect.co.uk/personal/23.jpg

The Coronets were introduced in around 1967 and featured a colored anodized aluminum body, a wider clutch ring then the regular 45 Flighters and a unique marking among the 45 family where the Parker logo is inscribed in line with the clip. Less easy to notice, they tend to be 1mm shorter in length then the 45 Flighter and are lighter in weight. Colors are Red, Blue, Grey, Green, Brown (often called Orange) and Black.

Nice and mouth wateringly sweet. Lol. Congrats on completing the set. After amassing 80 or so 45s , I havent been lucky enough with the Coronets.

Congrats again , Spikey Mike.

Spikey Mike, are the clipless ladies 45s rare? I've got a silver one NIB.

Yes - they tend to be quite sought after ... especially NIB.

This is the standard "Silver Brocade" pattern (there is a gold one as well) with the blue green ends and body. There are other versions, for example with black plastic pieces instead of the blue/green - these are even harder to get hold of!

Wow those do look nice. I like the look of the Silver Brocade one as well, but I don't think I'd like a clipless pen.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

How about the matching pencils? They are hard to find FP & pencil, even around SE WI.
