What do you like about it?  @Doug CDoes it feel like a pen wrapped in cloth?

Can you post some actual photos?

The mf nib works well for me and I like the look. Too many Sailors are pretty acrylic pens but this has more of a unique feel. I do handle it gingerly since I have heard of the seam on the deerskin coming loose.

Yesterday, while walking around Florence, I chanced upon the Visconti Flagship store. I wasn’t too keen on entering, since Visconti is not a brand I usually consider. But my wife wanted to enter. We looked around and were extremely well treated by Natalia. I noticed a well-priced Homo Sapiens Color Collection in Sandstorm (same price of when it was launched, by now significantly cheaper than the regular HS). In any case, I was about to leave, but just out of curiosity decided to ask if the red version of the pen also came in FP (they one had the ballpoint red on display). Natalia told us that they didn’t have it, because they were terminating the stock and that she could give me 35% off on the Sandstorm FP, which made me a bit interested. But she said they only had one nib and I was losing interest, thinking she would say M. However, the last memory I have is of her saying “stub” and I reaching for the CC faster than I could think.

The pen writes marvelously and it’s inked with Visconti blue.

Just nabbed an ēnsso Piuma turned in NOS Mazzuchelli Festival Cellulose Acetate. Only 10 were made. Comes with a gold Bock nib. Thinking of getting a custom grind on this when I attend the PNW Pen Show in July.

That is a lovely pen. I didn't know Ensso made pens like this. I have some Joe Cali pens made of the Mazzuchelli material and I love it.

ensso makes multiple special editions with unique materials. Some of them, like their ultem models, became a standard release over time but ultem isn't limited in production quantity like this Festival acetate is. They've previously also done releases in Primary Manipulation 4 and Japanese ebonite, along with a few other materials I don't remember offhand. I do also have a Japanese ebonite Italia from them and it's lovely.

There's been a bit of a pen drought here, but I fixed it today, quite impulsively, after seeing the blue transparent Lorelei 667 become available again. I was using my beloved purple one and reflecting on that reminded to search for the blue again. Yes! Yay.

Hmmmm... would Ku-Jaku look good in it? Samples too difficult to get here so I would just have to go for...er... broke.

I think Ku-Jaku would look great in your Lorelei! It’s color is in between the bright blue of the section and the jade of the piston. What a pretty pen!

@AmandaW I really like the looks of your Lorelei pens. So far I can’t seem to buy one. I am tired, maybe that’s why.

Is the nib a smaller #5 or the larger #6?

I can send you samples of that after I get home, if you can wait.

Well, I did it again.

Decided to stop by Novelli’s in Rome.

What a beautiful store, and Gaetano and Marco are such wonderful hosts. They had all the patience in the world with me and my wife. If you’re ever in Rome, I strongly recommend a visit to them (very close to the Trevi fountain, and much less crowded 🤣).

In the end we got a Pelikan M600 Glauco Cambon F for my wife (which we asked them to ship for us, so no photos until we’re back home) and I put an order for a Leonardo Dodice (?) Stub (can’t remember the pattern name), since it hasn’t arrived yet.
(I also found out that I like the Leonardo MZG size. So, trouble ahead…).

By the way, if anyone is interested Novelli has a NOS Pelikan M640 Athens, for a very attractive price.
I was very tempted, but must stop buying pens now (and I couldn’t convince the wife to get it for herself 😊).

I got to see a Pelikan Glauco Cambon in person at a pen meet up in Santa Cruz.  Online photos don’t do it justice.  The depth of those colors was amazing!

I’ll have to check Novelli’s out again.  We’re going to be in Rome in about 2 weeks.  Did you happen to check out any of the other b&m stores in Rome (Stilograph Corsani, Stilo Fetti, Stilo e Stile)?  Anything else interesting in any of those?

When you have mini-focus areas in a collection, even those can branch: I like to collect Moore pens, and a small number of them came in unusual celluloid... which kept me looking at other pens that were similar. I had a couple of Cascade pens that seem to be made from the same basic material but were different colors. I just jumped on the middle Cascade pen on the left group of three because you'll notice it is the exact same celluloid as the middle Moore on the right, the only identical multi-color-stripe stuff I've found. But I'll keep hunting - *another* sub-focus!

You guys want to make me poor! (Maybe poorer is more accurate) 🤣🤣.

I’ve only been to Novelli so far (arrived today), but I’m seriously considering skipping all others, since whenever I’m at a pen store I have this “strange compulsion” to buy another pen 🤣 (and at the moment I have 5 on order/shipped).

@Surlyprof indeed, the Glauco Cambon is way prettier in person. You should check out Novelli, they still have quite a few of the Glauco.

Have fun in Rome!

@Claes thanks!

Hard not to have fun in such a wonderful place, isn’t it?
