Sheaffer Identification

Recent cartridge pen.

The sheaffer name on the clip is old style, no white dot, made in USA, was wondering if it's an old pen. Any name for it or model number?

The issue is the textured section which only showed up on later "school" entry level pens. The flat ends place it at the last iteration of the three "School" pen versions but the section dates nit as even later. It's always possible that the cap and body are from the third iteration of the "School" pen and the section/nib from a later model.

 

I don't remember any of them being called anything but "Cartridge pen".

The third iteration began around the mid seventies and ran until near the end of the century. The textured section would place it near the end of the version so likely in the 90s.

I had one of these pens that i bought used in 1987 in burgundy color but with smooth black section and not with the textured one. It was a wet smooth writer. Unfortulately I, somehow, lost that pen a few years ago.

Hey ! Seeing your flag I would like to add I bought the pen in Baghdad when I was posted in my country's mission/embassy there in the 80s.

Nice to know that,

 

This days it's hard to find a shop offering fountain pens, while in 70s and begining of 80s you could hardly see any one without a sheaffer or parker in his shirt's pocket.
