Taccia Pen Kimonos On Massdrop!

Massdrop has a new drop for the Taccia Pen Kimonos in a few fabrics and sizes. Available quantities of each are limited. I think these are gorgeous, and much more attractive, of course, with the Massdrop discount. Here's a link: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/taccia-kimono-pen-rolls

No affiliation with either Taccia or Massdrop, but I would like to see these get to the lowest price.

These are gorgeous, I am in. The suede lining looks like it might do a decent job of protecting the fabric from small leaks. If I had the spare money to buy the luxury version of a luxury item to hold my luxury items I'd be in for Blessed Charms for sure.

Hmm...these are really beautiful...is the Blessed Charms one really worth the extra $35?

The fabric is certainly more intricate but if one of the pens leaks that would be quite sad.

My understanding is that the "Blessed Charms" is silk, while the others are cotton. Thus the price differential.

I'm highly considering joining this drop...I just realized its 25 unites for each style and I can't decide whether I want the 4 or 8 pocketed version..

I'm almost embarrassed to offer the customary FPN enabler cliché, but you already know what it is: "Get both!" :lticaptd:

P.S. That's what I did.

I totally would If I could really afford it! I'm already on the drop for the 2 Fountain Pen books, so my budget for the rest of the month is pretty slim

Yeah. I know what you mean. I ordered the books too. As Oscar Wilde famously said, "I can resist everything except temptation."

I ended up joining the drop for the 4 pen blessed charms version... It's too nice to pass it up.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
