Hello! New From The Greater Toronto Area

Hello to all in the Fountain Pen Network!

My name is Kerry and I am a relatively new fountain pen user. I started in November of last year and I must say I have never fallen more in love with anything than I have with fountain pens!

I always though I was a lone wolf in the FP world until I realized how big this community is on the FPN. I'm excited to start chatting with you all, learning and sharing information and hopefully finding fellow pen lovers in my area. I don't personally know anyone who likes fountain pens (much to my dismay)

Welcome to FPN, Kerry.

Where do you hail from in the GTA?

BTW, consider attending Scriptus 2015 in TO.

Thanks for the welcome everyone!

I can't make it to the wonder pens writing club this Sunday but I will look into those for the future!

I hail form Newmarket Tinta and I didn't know that Scriptus existed, thats SO COOL!

Please also follow the Toronto meeting threads, organized by our local FPN moderator, "saskia_madding".

Here is one:https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/topic/293255-toronto-july-2015-meet-up

I believe they are held on Saturdays this year. Locations may vary. Really nice pen folks attending.

Cheers: tinta

ps: Sadly, I live too far north to attend the TO meets, but from Newmarket it may be easier for you to attend.

Welcome, Kerry !

Well, I love fountain pens. There are many, many more here. There are many in Canada, as well,

though thinly spread. (Canada is too big. :lticaptd: ) I think they will find you, now that you are here.

Auf freiem Grund mit freiem Volke stehn.
Zum Augenblicke dürft ich sagen:
Verweile doch, du bist so schön !

Hello and welcome to the forums, Kerry. I found it easier to show people my fountain pens and let them use the practice ones. That's how you hook people in, especially if it's a nice looking practice pen. Hahaha. Eventually, you start gifting inexpensive fountain pens to friends and family and see where that goes. So far, I've got my Dad and my cousin hooked. Hahaha. How you discover more local fountain pen enthusiasts near you. :W2FPN:
