hımmm i was too excited to use this brand but it seems it took 3 over 5 from you in all 3 vital parameters: flow, lubrication and saturation parameters.

Made me a bit disappointed..

I've now tried four of the Callifolio inks, and I've had near-identical experiences with each: they shade beautifully, but the flow is middling and they're all very thin and watery, so there's little lubrication. I love the shading, but I just don't find the writing experience with these inks very pleasant.

I like this one and I don't mind saturation especially that I use wet writers on daily basis.

I don't always need inks to be very saturated, but I do prefer for them to offer above-average lubrication, so I have a hard time enjoying these inks. The colors are beautiful, but as I mentioned above, I just don't find them very pleasant to write with, even in my wetter Pelikans...

Thanks for the review. I haven't tried any of the Califolio inks.

Is it my imagination, or is Grenat really similar to Diamine Tyrian Purple? They look very close in the photo, to my eye, with Grenat being just a tad darker. If that's the case, I can pass on this, having both Tyrian Purple and MB Lavender Purple, which you've got as the third swatch.

They're nearly identical, but Tyrian Purple is a little less watery, flows better, and lubricates more. Given the choice, I would definitely go with the Diamine.

I found Inca Sol to be quite good. It didn't feel watery or low on saturation level. It didn't feather, had no issues with bleed or show through and had a medium to fast dry time on CF paper. Lubrication felt fine and I liked the colour but recognise it's not for everyone.

Good to know. I like Tyrian Purple a whole lot; it sounds as if I don't have to add the Califolio to the shopping list any time soon.

That's definitely an interesting color! It might be that the Callifolio inks just don't get along with my pens. I'll keep trying them, though, as I like many of the colors.

I definitely don't think there's a need for both in one's collection. If you like Tyrian Purple, then I'd stick with it. :)

Thank you for your review. I have been thinking about getting this ink for sometime.

I have ordered several of the Callifolio inks from Ink by the mL, and am looking forward to receiving them in the next few days.
