Did you feel like a ten-year-old on Christmas morning ?

Actually, I did! I was waiting ever so patiently for it to arrive and as soon as it did, I pushed back everything I had planned for that day about an hour so I can try out the pen for a bit. I literally had a smile on my face for that one hour.

 

 

I love Tay at Pensinasia! He always has the out-of-production, limited addition, hard to find pens I'm looking for. Great communication and lightning fast shipping (always 3 days for me too!).

BB Imperial Purple looks a bit blue--Is it a blurple?

Yeah, Tay is pretty amazing...I'm actually thinking about making some more pen purchases from him in the near future.

I don't think its a blurple. It's a nice dark purple, with all the qualities of a BB/Sailor Ink, Beautiful shading as well as a beautiful sheen. It's definitely more on the bluer side of the color scale than red, which is what I prefer. I think of it more like a royal purple if that means anything. Which is appropriate because it is called Imperial Purple haha.

 

Congratulations! I am in the same situation as you were, I couldn't buy the pen when it came out and now I can't get it because it is sold out everywhere and purple is my favorite color and an EF extra flessibile nib calls to me... I'm happy that at least one of us has gotten that pen Use it in good health!

You should try asking Tay from Pensinasia! He's probably the only one left in the world who has any sort of stock of the purple version of the Omas Ogiva Alba. The EF Extra Flessible nib is amazing. Trust me, it's worth it!

 

Beautiful pen and you picked the perfect ink for it! About your friend...a lot of folks don't understand why we pay what we do for something we love. That's OK. It leaves more pens for those of us who love them. I don't understand why people spend big money on fancy cars, shot guns or Samarai swords but I don't begrudge them.

Would love to have a '57 Chevy some day though. But that's me.

So earlier this week I was finally able to purchase on of my personal Grail Pens... My friend gave me some guff about spending that much money on the pen, but I was incredibly happy and pleased with my purchase.

They're releasing another Limited Edition in the fall called the Omas Ogiva Cocktail. They have one model in Blue. The Omas Ogiva Alba released last year only has a teal/green, orange and violet colors.

 

All of them look amazing.

 

I saw that massdrop in my email and when I checked the site, it was already gone lol.
