Do you have Ink Splash Fever?
Do you find yourself with a half-syringe full of diluted ink, completely unable to send it down the drain?

And instead, splatter it onto some paper?

Or maybe you keep a paper towel handy while cleaning your pens...and once it's covered in ink it looks kind of beautiful.

Maybe you do something else a bit abstract with your fountain pen inks - like make little puddles of ink to ogle?

Please snap a photo and share with your fellow ink-o-philes.

All splishes, splashes, dribs, drabs, drips, drops, splatters, puddles, smears, fingerprints, and other inky messes are welcome!

Here, diluted Noodler's Sunrise frolics with some drips of diluted Noodler's Dragon's Napalm.

I smeared some of the Sunrise around with a cotton swab I had previously used to clean up some ink, which made a pretty nice green on the paper!

:)

My pen cleaning paper towel keeps a piece of my inking-up history, enabling me to go back in time and remember the good old days when I still had Copper Orange, or when I in a panic dabbed up a few gobs of permanent green acrylic dip pen ink. Like old scars, you can remember the source of every splatter. And in this case, some cat hair that makes a lovely addition every time you wipe your pen...

@Noihvo -

I know what you mean about remembering things from the paper towel. This one reminds me of the only time I nearly flipped over a sample vial of DeAtramentis Orchids...which is scented. The whole room smelled nice, for a minute.

And we DO suddenly sound like hoarders! I keep the same paper towel for a while - like maybe a month, until I can't find a clean spot on it to use anymore...or until I use it to clean up something else, like glue. Then I toss it and it starts all over again.

I just wish the Herbin 1670 Blue Ocean was a pleasure to write with -_-

I did love the gold on the towel too, and it was okay to write with in a broad wet pen, but it is not super saturated (except on the napkin).

Well... nothing really cool... I was just filling these (into different pens on different days) and lo and behold... yikes... the bottles fell over. My fault but may I suggest that it was also the MB bottle and especially its cap which are too round and flat... and that made them so hard to hang onto? And that the Noodler's bottle was too full (as always when new)? In the meantime, I fill more carefully with everything in a big, wide, flat porcelain dish...

Not sure if this has been suggested already but would a setting for localized regions or chapters in FPN be helpful? I don't know if there is a way to find local FPN members who would be nearby. I don't know if we want to be discoverable but a setting to know how many members are in 25, 50, or a 100 miles of each other might be helpful. We can create a regions specific network like Craigslist where people could use that to connect with nearby members, conduct in person sales, arrange FPN meetups

Hi again all, I forgot to tell y'all that I made the post about Sweden ink PIF. Most have probably found it long ago, but here's a link, anyway:

I read your blog post and all the replies with much interest. I'm a FP user in Australia. Been part of this forum for years but rarely post. I did come across your ink sharing thread and considered participation. For me it's not lack of interest but lack of time to play around with FP and inks. I'd feel bad to put my hand up for the box and just have it sit until gosh knows when...   I also think that the FP community in Australia is smaller, and I wonder how many in the community are

Even so, you'd end up with a fragmented list, and it becomes an O(N²) process for each prospective requestor to check what is available: effectively recreate the list of currently active servers (without any reliable up-to-date info upfront about the inks and number of samples on offer in the thread) from the sequential list of posts, which may be spread over two or even more pages, and then query each server independently to check what is currently on offer.   It comes down to not hav

If one wanted to do this, one could just use the "About Me" field which appears to be unlimited in size.  And if a bunch of people wanted to cooperate, the Member Title field (or signature) could be used to this end - "Ink Giver" (or some such) could be used by those with inks to give...  No software edits required.
