I have no experience using ASA pens before. This Popsicle looks really "delicious". I have some queries though:

1. Is it possible to to reduce the flair at the end of the grip section?

2. What is the ink capacity in ED mode. I am intending to use this pen for my exams also.

3. Whether it is possible to get a spare nib unit. I want a fine and a broad nib unit.

4. Would ASA sell silicon grease with it.

Thanks,

Aniruddha

Got my Popsicle today in Shiny Ivory. It is a giant of a pen, certainly a homage to KOP

The section is very comfortable to hold and the acrylic has been polished to perfection

WOW. That pen is HUGE. Bigger than a 149?

Hi Mehandiratta,

Would you know whether there is an option of having an UEF nib? A nib which gives a line width of 0.2mm would be fine. I can't write with Schmidt fine nibs and this pen is of the size I prefer.

Thanks & Regards

Dhruv

Absolutely Agree to the writing experience mentioned above, it is a schmidt nib which have had a good reputation of writing a good wet line in all F, M, B options. The Nib in the pen pictured is a Medium tipped Nib, writes out of the cap every single time. It has no issues of leak inside the cap in hot humid conditions. While writing the pen does not feel heavy and is comfortable for long writing requirements, equipped to be used as a ED (eye Dropper) or a International Convertor/Cartridge seems to fit tastes of either groups. The Clip has been designed to fit securely in most normal conditions pockets, ledgers, folders and purse. I do carry it in the Shirt Pocket and have not had to worry of it dropping during daily use. Though pink at first was not my first choice, it grew on me eventually every picture i saw. I love the color of the pen. Similar to a Safari this pen is very versatile and good for daily use and did i forget to mention it is awesome.

What beautiful pens! (Un)fortunately, I missed the deadline but am looking forward to more reviews and perhaps a re-offer?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
