Show Your Twsbi Eco

Can someone with access to O-rings see if a thicker one might help in this regard? Looking for a potential easy fix for this issue.

I ordered one the first day it was released and haven't received it yet. It was shipped on 7/15. Is anyone else still waiting for their Eco?? I'm trying to be patient, but it is hard!!!

Patience paid off and my Eo was delivered about 15 minutes ago. I get a good first impression of how it feels in the hand. Must go put ink in it!! :-)

Definitely picking one of these up when school starts to replace my 1.1mm Lamy Safari which I sold. The white one looks great!

I've been using mine extensively the last few days and I'm really liking it. Now I'm going to have to get out my Lamy Vista again and do a head-to-head comparison for a few days.

I'm noticing a lot of details of what appear to be careful engineering decisions. For example, inside the barrel, extending down from the rubber o-ring that holds the cap closed, are a series of what I'm assuming are bracing ridges. I'm assuming this "thickens" the barrel somewhat right at a place where you have extra pressure, under the o-ring and below the threads. As the cap tightens on the o-ring it would increase the pressure on the barrel. It would be good to have some extra bracing at that spot, and thus you have some ridges. And they're inside where it doesn't interfere with the functioning of the cap or the tactile experience with the barrel. The tolerances seem tight between the few separate pieces and overall I'm impressed. Time will tell for durability.

Yes, overall it's very well designed, with deliberate, considered thinking in its making, that I very much so appreciate. That way the cap posts so loosely, compared to my other pens of the same caliber, is so far the only thing that irks me.

I mean, if this is the only apparent problem we are seeing in a newly released version 1.0 pen, then I think they're in good shape. Hope they'll address it or someone here on FPN can offer a simple DIY solution.

I carry my pens around and don't baby them at all, so I'm also keenly interested in the durability question, as one of the first users of this model. Indeed, time will tell, but I'm optimistic judging from recent handling.

Of all the TWSBIs I had so far, I like this one the best, because it is perfectly suited for my hand (which is neither small, nor big, just a medium sized woman's hand).

My 1.1 with Tsuki-yo. I'm very pleased with the pen, more than my previous Vac 700's or my 580, all of which I had sold. The uncapped size is great for my hand.

I am really loving the economy version of the TWSBI. Perfect weight, but it feels well made. A grand pen for students, busy execs, anyone! I was a bit put off by the grip not disassembling BUT I got over that. Real Nice Pen! At $30, it's a steal!

I love the different colored inks in these photos. I have a dark ink in there right now, so the barrel just looks black. Can't wait for my future ink change.

THAT FINE is not so FINE!

yep I might get one of them in an EF and compare - they seemed to be just below a normal medium to me

I did put a link up above to both the white and black (but not the proper code) - these are 2 Fines ... I have since purchased a 1.1 in white and love that as well - may be tempted to sell my 580's and just use these instead ! (date should say 23/7 not 23/6)

NEWLY ARRRIVED, INKED WITH CHESTERFIED AMETHYSThttp://i70.photobucket.com/albums/i82/anangeli/PENS/TWSBI/ECO_DIVINE%202428_zpsy0yf2gdw.jpg

UNFORTUNATLY, this morning It leaked! It is only a few days old in my hands, and I changed inks three times. Maybe I did not insert the nib/feed propely this time. I just removed and re-inserted to see if this happens again. Just reporting it in case there are other cases of this.

NICE

The aesthetic is definitely not as 'refined' as the Diamond series pens - no faceting to the barrels, and some people seem to think the caps are oversized - but I think they have an elegance and appeal of their own. Look forward to hearing how you find yours!

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
