I'll be in for the first option! I got a couple of blues and I think I can contribute!

Can I send extra money for extra samples? :P

Why is it clogging? What are you doing to it? I have never had it clog in any of the pens I have had it in.

It is supposed to be a quick drying ink, so if you are leaving it uncapped, or the cap is not fully sealing, that may be causing it.

Mebbe you need to use some of the brass shimmy shim shims that are going around to just make sure the nib slit is clear.

I was writing and it would dry out WHILE I was writing. It could have something to do with the climate here. (103 F, 39C and virtually no humidity).

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

I must admit I haven't tried it in those conditions. The way the weather is going, I'll have to wait about 6 months before I can try to duplilcate.

0.1C when I left the house this morning. The cat people were not impressed.

How often are your cats actually impressed? I think my cats love me only when I give them tasty treats.

Yes, if chicken is involved (roasted nicely, in a piquant gravy).

Otherwise rarely.

Although, as mentioned elsewhere, the little one does like to go on long walks with me. A harness and leash are in her near future. You can use a collar and leash, but you sometimes end up with a slightly strangled cat, who then needs cuddles.

They do love you, like a comfy chair or soft blanket. But not for your sparkling wit or ability to walk on two legs. Cats are funny that way. ;)

Truly! But since the Regional Manager of this operation (AD) has retained me as secretary for this project, I will need everyone to submit a report on their choice of inks for use in the CRV --whether newly shipped inks or inks found on their desks. Reminders will be sent as the deadline approaches for the final report to Administration.

BlINK has paid for papers and samples ($5) - do you have her address, Amber?

Breathe. Take one step at a time. Don't sweat the small stuff. You're not getting older, you are only moving through time. Be calm and positive.

Darn PayPal is in my wife's name. I put it in the notes and I think Amber has it but if not, let me know and I can PM it.

Thanks,

Chris

I paid $16. Which is why I invented FPS#9, because I am a cheapskate.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
