A Beautiful Pen Case For Travel

Recommended Posts

Thought I would share this...was in the market for a pen case...particularly, one for travel and I found this lovely cloth roll on ebay. They are made in Japan, cost $14 dollars with shipping, and are very good looking. You can purchase them in several different designs...all with a unique traditional Japanese pattern. I really love it. They also sell a nylon case that can be folded in a clever way to have the pens standing up in the holder.

Description is as follows:

Quite nice! I like the traditional design. I'll have to go see what other designs they have. Thanks for sharing!

I have had one of these in a dark blue colour for about 8 months now. It has held up well with no obvious signs of wear. Funnily enough nobody has noticed my fountain pens, but several have commented on the pen roll.

JetPens.com pretty much also carry the full line of these wonderful cases:

I've got one in "synthetic leather" and its pretty nasty and plasticy. Nothing wrong with the concept does what it says on the tin, just wished I'd got a fabric one as they look much nicer.

That's a beautiful pen case. Do you have one yourself? How is the durability?

It is well made and very attractive.

These comments make me sad as I sympathise with Ruaidhri, having great difficulties in being taken seriously. Or being taken at all (no off-colors jokes, please!) In spite of overwhelming odds,  Ruaidhri -now I know how to spell it- made a courageous decision and stuck to it. I was diagnosed with a similar growth in a place I will not reveal. Oh, well, if you insist it was Mount Sinai Hospital. But I firmly intend to walk in Ruaidhri's footsteps, if he will let me, on my next visit to Dublin.
