Alexcat
I got, a while back a Montegrappa Shema....beautiful pen, lovely writer, and I've been using it with small cartridges. Decided I wanted a converter, was looking online, as I thought that one hadn't been included, and then noticed a sound under the lining....there was a converter there all the time, under the inner lining if the box, which I hadn't noticed (d'oh....)When I looked at it I noticed something odd: I've seen converters with a tiny ball which rattles about, presumable to help the ink flow, but this has a little wire coil which moves on its own. Pictures below.....what I'd like to know is.....is it meant to be there/move about? (Also....in case I need to buy one...is there a universal type converter which would fit? This one screws in tightly. I've not tried using it yet) (In the photos, I've tried to show it in the middle, top and bottom. Harder to describe than to show) ThanksAlex "As many nights endure Without a moon or star So will we endure When one is gone and far "Leonard Cohen, of blessed memory(21/09/1934-7/11/2016)
TheRealScubaSteve
It's meant to be there. I prefer that over the ball as sometimes it can block the hole during cleaning in some converters.
Notgatherox
Works the same as the little ball: used to break surface tension in the ink. It'll move, yes. The included converter should work fine. ~Epic http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1348/557449480_2f02cc3cbb_m.jpg http://null.aleturo.com/Dumatborlon/Badges/5EH4/letter.png A sincere man am IFrom the land where palm trees grow,And I want before I dieMy soul's verses to bestow. Alexcat
Thanks so much....felt rather silly, but I try to go by the "the only silly question is the unasked one" rule.... Now, to get it inked up....it's a beautiful pen, in every way Alex "As many nights endure Without a moon or star So will we endure When one is gone and far "Leonard Cohen, of blessed memory(21/09/1934-7/11/2016)
