Blue - Yiren

Yiren is chinese producer of fountain pens. They offer also ink in cartridges. I'm not sure whether they produce it or just resell. Anyway I've received their blue ink, so let's take a look at it.

It's not particularly exciting ink. I find it boring, but it serves it puspose rather well. It writes, has decent flow and drying time. It smells bad, though. I've tried it from sheer curiosity and once is enough in this case :)

Hi Vis

That is the same for me. Cannot say I dislike blue inks but they are so standard...

And usually what looks nice in swap is not so sparkling in the pen..... If you have to advice on a blue or 2.... What is your advice I do not like turquoise or blue azure....

Another question How do you get your pics so nicely small. Mine are huge

Das leben ist wie ein Perpetuum Mobile mit ein Mangel..... Immer im Bewegung jedoch nicht unendlich. (life is like a troubled Perpetuum Mobile ever moving but not for ever)

Tricked throughout the centuries...

For centuries people had been tricked by kings & "religion-alism"

In the 20th century people got tricked by communism

Today people get tricked by (neo)capitalism :)

Thank you.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Reminds me a bit of J. Herbin's Blue Myosotis

Typical boring blue. Sure doesn't stand up to Blue Velvet...which is stunning. Thanks for reviewing this "never heard of before" ink.

I've never heard of this brand before in China...

Yiren produces lots of really cheap pens in China and their quality is not that great. I bent the nib on an Yiren pen in no time, but the metal was so thin and soft that I could easily bend it back. The pen's body is brass so I just stuck an Indian flex nib in it and now it's a decent cheap flex pen.

Thanks for the review.

I like the sort of crisp dark edge on the lines (I think some people are referring to that as "haloing") but overall the ink may be a bit too light to be legible in the long haul. What sort of water resistance (if any) does this ink have?

I think the Chinese is 依人, but the pens usually only have "Yiren" written in cursive writing on the pen cap and nib. Where I live in the north of the country, they are one of the most prevalent brands in the shops near schools.
