Wow! This is starting to get exciting!

I'm still trying to figure out how to list all my pens down here.

Since I have yet to finish a bottle of ink, I will totally follow this. But I must ask, are you starting to hate or get bored of Tsuki-Yo yet?

not at all!

I use it a lot professionally, when the circumstances seem t require a 'normal' colour, instead of using a regular black or blue, I use Tsuki-Yo. Doesn't offend anyone yet gives me great pleasure when writing. And to keep things interesting here, I now use it also with the pen that's on my desk. (But I've got two pens in the mail and that will mess things up again  )

As a matter of fact, I emptied a HUGE sample (must've been between 15 and 20ml) before buying the bottle.

That makes a great deal of sense. I haven't used Tsuki-Yo, the only Iroshizuku ink I have is Yama-Budo. But I love it and the way it writes. Perhaps I will add Tsuki-Yo to my want list! :)

This is very neat to me. I'm still new to bottled ink; I'm curious about how long a bottle lasts.

This thread is making me rethink my ink purchases (somewhat). I have a bottle of Syo-ro that I purchased 4 years ago, but only now is it at the ink level of your Tsuki-yo. :yikes:

I may put off the additional 8 bottles of ink I was planning on purchasing this month. -_-

5th refill (Vac 700). No idea why the pic is somewhat bland...

Smudge on the lens?

Probably just that... Should wipe it before each picture

You could think of this as a very slow strip tease.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

Hey this is like a strip tease. Will a black censor bar be employed?

That won't be necessary in Las Vegas,

My bottle of Tsuki-Yo came 4-5 days before your first post. Started using it immediately.

Not nearly as titillating without the tassel.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
