Honey - Kwzi

visvamitra

Recommended Posts

As some of you may know Poland is one of biggest exporter of cosmetics, furniture and fruits. But we also have inks :)

Hopefully more and more inkthusiasts know what the four letters - KWZI - mean. They mean good ink, saturated color. The fruit of the passion.

You can check Konrad's site here.

Honey is one of Konrad's new colors.

PS: So when's Group Buy #4 being set up? Not, of course, that I've gotten the invoices for Group Buy #3 yet....

Ruth... Terrracota has red.

But not a lot. Not nearly as much as, say, Noodler's Galileo Manuscript Brown.

I'd call it more of an orange brown than a red brown.

Gorgeous ink. Funnily enough, this is the first time I thought that the writing sample was prettier than the ink splash. I would definitely buy a bottle.

The praise of the praiseworthy is above all rewards.

Thank you for the review! This ink is outside my usual color palette, but it looks gorgeous in your review. I will be adding this one to the wishlist :)

Great job. This ink really looks like honey.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

If I owned a TWSBI Micarta, I'd have to get this ink to match up. Beautiful shading.

Gorgeous!

I tried a bunch of Callifolio browns/sepias/oranges at the San Francisco Pen Show a couple of weekends ago, and I had a hard time choosing the one or two I liked the best (a good problem to have, admittedly).

But THIS! This Honey color! I like it very much -- I might not wait until the next Pen Show Poland (April). Hrm... maybe Fountain Pen Day in Warsaw.... Or Konrad's website. Hahaha!

Looks like a better version of Noodler's Golden brown. Like it.

I ordered a bottle of KWZI called Honey from Vanness earlier today. Not sure if it's the same one as your bottle since you said your's was a new color.

You guys sucked me in with the sheen.

Is the same color... it was a "new" color back in April.

I just received my bottle from Vanness yesterday. This was a purchase

made based on the review by visvamitra.

Excellent flow and really nice shading! Sure to become a daily ink.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
