sexauerw
These are long out of production and pretty hard to find. But every now and then I do see one or two for sale. http://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/AzMYYT3hYuMDhz/10215051.0/800/p/SH208_Imperial_IV_Autograph_with_Button_Converter%2C_disassembled.jpg Bill Sexauerhttp://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/zyNIMDOgTcgMOO/5768697.0/org/p/PCA+++Logo+small.jpghttp://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/zyNIMDOgTcgMOO/5768694.0/org/p/Blk+Pen+Society+Icon.jpghttp://bulk-share.slickpic.com/album/share/TE3TzMUAMMYyNM/8484890.0/300/p/CP04_Black_Legend%2C_Small.jpgPCA Member since 2006

Mob Mentality
I put the sheaffer slim converter in my Lifetime cartridge pen and it fit perfectly so that might be another option. It's almost identical in size and shape to the Sheaffer cartridges but doesn't hold as much ink due to the space taken up by the internal mechanism. According to the seller "this one was made in the Sheaffer plant in Goderich, Ontario, Canada."

stephanos
Useful thread, this. Thank you. As an additional data point, note that you can force a standard modern converter into the barrel (I.e. close the barrel with a converter fitted to the feed), but it then gets stuck and requires quite some effort to remove it. Definitely not recommended.

RonLyke
Here we go: A squeeze converter cut to size :Mitto--How did you get the end out of the converter? I have a cartridge and a button converter (which doesn't work very well), but I'd like to get a squeeze converter to work.

I have a cartridge and a button converter (which doesn't work very well), but I'd like to get a squeeze converter to work. Eassy peasy. Just pull it out carefully. But dont use any sharp edge tool. You can do it even with your fingers. Remember the sac would also need to be shortened. Or , better use new replacement sac. Khan M. Ilyas
RonLyke
Thanks, Mitto,I bought one of these pens at the DC show. I ordered a standard converter from Anderson's after seeing that a piston converter wouldn't work. I'll get to work on it when it arrives. Also good to know the slim one fits, too. mitto
How did you cut it? With a small size metal saw. After cutting , however , you need to smooth and polish the sharp cut lips with a sandpaper before reassembling. Khan M. Ilyas

RonLyke
Here it is, with the pen & cartridge and a button converter. I haven't tried it yet, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.
