Can we have a link to your ebay store please

Wouldn't an answer to that question contravene the current FPN site rules/agreement?

Hopefully he'll list some here in classifieds when he has enough posts :)

Sorry I didn't read the full list of rules and regulations, if it is against the rules I apologize for that.

the rules

I think that's what I read in them today, however feel free to check :) I'm not sure about The Mall and what type of posts can go in there. Different subset of rules. Which I didn't read properly.

There's probably enough unique key words ^^^ up there ^^^ in earlier posts of this thread to help us locate the latest when they appear so as to isolate them from the unmodded versions.

I received mine in the last week. Here's the review:

Be prepared: My review is looooong, detailed, and has large (hopefully useful) pictures including close-ups.

I think the eBay name is jfdiberian, not jfdiberica. I recently ordered one of his creations.

I'm going to finish making another one of these tomorrow in Pima tortoise if anyone's interested

My name is Joseph DaLuz. I just wrote a lengthy explanation about what I've been doing with the Noodler's Ahab, but it was lost in cyberspace... so here's some copy from my ebay listing.

Custom Noodler's Ahab: nib reground to XF, with another Nib mod to increase flex to BBB. Feed also reset. After the flex mod, I used a Zeiss microscope to adjust the tines and do the regrind. As fine as it is, it's still smooth. To increase the ink flow during times of high demand, I made a titanium overfeed. there is a slight notch in the section for this. It was difficult to get the two axis curvature right. It's everyday use and for pointed pen calligraphy

Amazing flex actually, and will not railroad if you write at a moderate speed. I find that ink flow tolerances are better than many of my precious vintage pens.

i saw one of your pens sell recently for just shy of $160, is that reflective of the normal prices they go for?

Thank you. I copy-and-pasted the name from above, and now I've copied jfdiberian and am not able to connect to eBay (I have a wonky Internet connection, sigh). But I will try it as soon as I'm able to get to eBay. Thanks again!

That's close to what I paid for mine. Compare it with a vintage...say, Waterman...with an EF superflex nib from a good restorer, and it's suddenly a bargain.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
