Nice shape to te pen. I like how you carried the wood up into the section.

Did you strip the wax off before applying the CA. You might want to keep an eye on the CA finish for a week or so. I ususally have dificulties with the oilier woods such as bocote and cocobolla. Normally I give it a good acetone wipe before applying CA, to remove the oils from the surface. I have found that if the oils touch the CA before it fully cures, it will tend to delaminate in spots. Sometimes as much as a 1-2 weeks later. I'm not sure if the wax might have the same effect.

Once again thoug, beautifull design.

i did take the wax off, but looking back i totally understand what you are saying...there are already some spots where it has delaminated...small but it has definately started to happen....i will take your advice on my next bocote piece...i have one more nice piece...

I'm quite new to the forum, and new to fountain pens as well. I would love to make my own fountain pens. I tried to click on your profile to send a private message, and wasn't able.

I'm wondering where you got the parts for this pen. I love how little plastic is showing. I've made a few pens, but would like to delve into kitless now that I've looked into some of the kits. Thanks for the help.
