I've got mine in hand. It is beautiful indeed and a very smooth writer.

Thank you!

I got mine, great pens. People mistake them for Nakayas.

Did anyone else get a nice surprise with their order? I don't have any pics to show right now, but I was very delighted to receive a novelty item. Not giving anything away yet for fear of spoilers.

Yes, I did. With both the blue and the red pen. Two different little attention-showers.

YES!! That's exactly it! I had never seen a fountain pen that tiny. On a whim, I actually inked the pen, and it wrote decently. Such a tiny thing, obviously small ink capacity for an eyedropper (less than an international cart worth), tiny nib, but it wrote. I had to use 2 fingers to do it, but managed somehow.

No. The design is clean and spare, and the more beautiful for that. If you must needs have a piston, the converter is piston type.

Here is a picture of the five I now have. Two of the earlier model, three of the later.

The red is second from left. First one, though my picture does not show it too well, is the blue.

Not sure if they are still available, you could ask FPN member Mesu who supplied them. She has posted on this thread.

THe colors are, from left to right: blue, red, black, black, black. (the early version was only available in black. I got the new colors because of their novelty, but frankly, the blacks are my favorite for this. And I prefer the clipless, although the clips themselves are nice and handy in some situations. The clipless are usually desk pens for me.

Thank you Vulpenfanaat! I appreciate your help. I just got my first Indian ebonite pen this week (a Gama Kuyil) and though I'll likely change out the nib, I quite love the feel of it. Well, I will see if there are any still left.

Welcome, and keep us posted - others might want to know if they're still available, too...

Enjoy your ebonites!

It is, isn't it? And the others too. I love them all, from the blue through to the blacks. :cloud9:

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
