I have a question: Is the nib unit on the sniper going to be easily -or fairly easily- swap-able? Or is it going to be in there pretty much for good?

I'm wondering because maybe I would like to order a different second nib unit with it.

Thanks in advance for the info.

Should be swappable. I've ordered a second nib unit.

So....Once everything is said and done and designed and manufactured and the release date is upon us, will there be another update with photos for the final result?

It should only be natural that new photos must be taken for ASA's website, so they will be put up in her as well, yes?

Also, for my own selfish interest I would really like to see a photo of the -so far- elusive full acrylic 'demonstrator' model.

And then after that, many of us here still have to wait for a week or two for the package to arrive. (Which is fine of course, but..) A teaser, or a tease really, would be a treat. Thank you.

Sorry to rain on your parade, but I do think the converter detracts - seriously - from the looks of the pen. In fact I am a little doubtful about the looks of the hood itself... Somehow I had expected that to be of acrylic, too - maybe too much to ask...

But the brushed acrylic is starting to look very nice to me.

I'd like to say that I think the nib sorry, meant: clip worked out really well on the finished pen (at least that's how it looks in the acrylic's photos; a bit blocky and strong looking, reminding just enough of the inspiration's, but also genuine enough (not too difficult) and Indian-FP-looking. It also appears to be very nicely polished. Great.

I also ordered the acrylic (clear model). I ordered the converter as well to keep my options and because I just wasn't sure. Maybe I'll like it with the converter. Maybe in the clear the extra visible 'hardware' will be attractive.

Can't wait to get it now. yay.

In ED mode with ink it will look good. I'm starting to wish I had ordered a full shiny black version in addition to the transparent version.

I have ordered the green ebonite version of this pen, but I must say the acrylic looks fantastic. I already have an acrylic Galactic so I decided on ebonite for this pen. Looking forward to it now! Hopefully I get in on the first batch of posted pens :)

Mr Subramaniam told me I'd get the pen by this weekend. I assume it's the same for everyone else in India

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
