I just got a bottle of this (my first Montblanc ink). I found it dry and a bit cloggy in the pen I put it in, but the color is amazing. I may try it in a wetter writer -- maybe one of the Pelicans -- and see if it's the pen, rather than the ink, that's the problem.

Thanks for the review.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Ruth, I'm using this ink in a Baoer 801 (Asian fine nib) and it's been fairly wet and hasn't clogged. It does tend to dry out after just a few minutes uncapped but that's been true of most inks in this pen.

Nice review and very nice color. I am not prone to use purple ink but this might be nice for special cards or special events.

Ruth I love the sample of the MB Lavender Purple you sent me in the Valentine Swap. Used it in my Noodlers Konrad Ebonite with 1.1 Goulet, and the color was beautiful. I did not have any problems with the pen clogging, nor was it exceptionally dry. Now I am going to have to consider how to make this ink part of my FP budget. Thanks so much.

Excellent review - you captured it's essence! I love this ink's shading and saturation. It flows beautifully in my "Binderized" Fine nibbed M200.

Great job on this excellent review of a very good ink. I am quite fond of this ink from Montblanc.... great usability, and the color is not childish or unprofessional at all. It seems to hold up well in my journaling, also... very little color fade has been noticed.

This is the ink I have been using the most in the past couple of months. It is the most attractive purple I have tried so far. I would prefer if it was more water resistant, but everything else about is close to perfect.

I haven't noticed any bleedthrough on any paper (including copy paper), with the expected exception of Moleskine.

A lovely review for a lovely ink! I echo ZaphodBB - you truly captures this ink's essence!

I adore this ink; it posses an elegant understatement that is quite attractive to me. It is appropriate for personal and business use. It has great behavior, and looks striking on ivory and cream papers.

I keep this inked in my white with rose gold TWISBI mini; it writes perfectly, as well as looks gorgeous.

Thanks for the great review! This is my all-time favorite 'purple' ink and always have it in rotation - looks great, behaves great, and easy to clean.

Excellent review! I have this ink and have had no problems with it. I am using it currently in a Torelli 51 with an extra fine nib ground by Richard Binder.
