Fpn Inks - Good News!

In principle we will be able to get as much as we want, IOW, as much as we can afford, and a sold out case will mean we can afford to buy a replacement.

What will change is the entire shipping and handling process, which will make it less stressful on those dealing with the process, and hopefully will make things go easier and more smoothly, especially on our side.

HTH, warm regards, Wim

Wow! I have been away for several months and return to find this as the first post I read...Yay!

My personal favorite is the Dumas but all are really nice inks!

Thanks Wim for the great news!

I think these must've last existed before I signed on here... and I'm already plotting setting the cash aside to get at least two of these. :D

Hmm, want the Starry Night, but will have to wait for someone coming back to India (Shipping just the ink might be very painful).

The Starry Night looks pretty nice.

Provided one is allowed on a plane with (fluid) inks...

I do hope you will have that opportunity indeed!

It should be, I've had people bring in certain paints before. In any case yet another hurdle!

I would be happy to acquire all three if I don't have to take out a second mortgage or sell a kidney to cover shipping costs... yeah, what am I saying  Noodler's Inks have some of the most expensive shipping of any inks I have seen.

Pity.

Have fun Americanos!

EditL I take that back. Hadn't checked on eBay for Noodler's in quite some time, and found a seller charging $14.95 for a 3oz bottle + $5 shipping. Sounds like it may be a good deal .Anyone confirm what local prices are in the US?

I just did. They charge $12.50 for the ink and $14.30 for shipping. Grand total $26.80. The eBay seller is cheaper at $20. Every cent counts for me!

Bear in mind these are exclusive inks, so can't be bought from that ebay-vendor.....

And the P&P on these is often the same if you send 1 or 5 (or so) bottles.

But the how and how much still has to be decided...

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
