Dearest Members and Visitors of Our Little Fountain Pen Nut House on the Digital Prairie,

Some good news for those of you who wanted more of our inks: they will be back!

An exact ETA we cannot give yet, and we will also set up a proper store for our inks, but they will return.

And who knows, we may even start creating another ink :).

Warm regards, Wim

That's very cool. And congratulations to those who created these.

I would def. keep my eyes open for some Galileo brown, but alas regular Noodler's is already very hard to find in this region....

Nonetheless, I'm happy about this.

Bear in mind, that this is an announcement of things to come...

Inks are ordered, have to be custom made, then delivered to the FPN warehouses in Tumbuktu (or somewhere like that)

AND the FPN store will have to be implemented, both in terms of software as in people and materials....

As soon as that is ready: you're free to go wild...

I'm rather interested in the Galileo Manuscript Brown and the Van Gough Starry Night but most of the reviews here don't have pictures anymore (I'm guessing it's because the posts themselves are years old) :(

"I have nixed all Noodler's inks in large part because of their feel, but also their behavior, etc. When I put Iroshizuku or Sailor ink into my pens, it's like the ink, pen, and paper are having a 3-some with smooth 'n sultry 70's jazz playing in the background." ~ Betweenthelines

A tiny sample bought from ebay that I stupidly knocked over and lost most of. Test was done by mopping up spill and dipping pen nib in aforementioned spill.

Delighted that this may well see the light of day again (and that I'm being given another sample soon :) )

I sent an ink order on Dec 4, 2014 and never heard from anyone. Is that order still valid and will be filled from the upcoming supply, or do I need to reorder?

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
