I don't have it with me however I have a box that I made with my dad that holds 8 pens which was made from an old microscope slide box a pen pen wrap that holds 4 pens and a lamy 3 pen case. I also have 3 or 4 single pen cases as well.

I have one of these....

I can keep about 10-12 pens in it, also have one of alc3261's handmade pen wraps.

https://www.etsy.com/listing/183735627/4-pen-wrap-several-choices-available?ref=listing-shop-header-2

I have this size, but the pattern of the cloth is different. It is a 4 pen size, but it will hold up to 8 depending on the size of the pen. My Pelikan pens (120, M150, 2 M205's all fit in two slots. One slot for my Parker 45's and another for my Parker 51 Special fp and mechanical pencil.

I haven't tried it recently, but if I used it for my Al Star, True Writer, TWSBI 580 I wouldn't get much beyond 4 in it. (maybe 5)

I would like to do something up - maybe convert a cigar box to keep most of my pens in then wraps for what I take to work with me.

I've dedicated a couple of book shelf spaces for my pens and inks like this. I may need another shelf, but I am in competition with my wifes books for shelf space real estate in our household.

Well, I've managed to do this. The cabinet is my mother's old sheet music cabinet.

Of course, there are still other spots - a pen holder on my dresser, another on my desk, a pen pouch in my jacket somewhere, and random pens strewn at each spot.

My dad was a machinist for the railroad. He had a machinist tool box mom gave him before I was born. I am 70 so this box is older than that. When it got full of pens, I got another new one.

It is full of pens too. A cheaper but similar box behind it also has pens in it. The box on the floor has calligraphy pens.

another box has more pens and pen parts.

A few desk pens are on display. The rest are in desk drawers and a closet

Nice Parker collection. :)

Here's my pen box which I got from a Japanese surplus store, fitted with pen trays from GoPens. As for my daily carry, I have a 2-pen leather case, a 3-pen leather case, and an 8-pen wrap. :)

I don't have a few hundred pens like some of you do, so I just keep my pens on my desk with inks.

Sorry, I don't have any pictures that I can show you right now, but there is really nothing to look at.

I'm a user not a collector. My humble collection in my homemade storage box repurposed from a cigar box. I lined the bottom with foam, cut the wood strips, and glued them in.

From top:

- Platinum 3776 w/ music nib

- Pilot Custom 74 medium nib

- Shaeffer Connaisseur circa 1988 (bought in 1988) my 1st real fp

- Aurora Talentum medium (bought in 2000) my 2nd

- Pilot VP broad nib, ground to a stub

- on the right, Pelikan 400 with a customized italic stub.

I also have a VP in matte black with a fine nib, 2 Ahabs, a Konrad, a Pilot Ecrino, and a Cross Bailey. For a guy who doesn't "collect" fountain pens, but just uses them, that seems like a lot of pens. These sit in the same drawer as the cigar box in a bamboo drawer organizer.

I'm waiting for a Jinhao 750 in the mail. I now buy maybe one nice pen a year. This year I'm planning to buy either a Sailor 1911 Realo (if I can get one), or, a Pilot Custom 823.

I'm a relative newcomer to the field, so my collection isn't that impressive at the moment. That said, I keep what I've got in this nice, 48 pen case I got through AliExpress:

Here's the interior:

And here's a look at only the pens:

Please keep in mind that this isn't all of my pens. The rest generally reside in my shirt pocket or on my desk. I have some display stands on the way, so I can show off my prettiest pens. My Hero 103 (currently an EDC) will probably end up there.

(P.S. To answer two questions I can just see coming: The case has a divider in the middle, and the other side is identical to the one with the pens, but currently empty. The way I got this was to order two at a time, so I have another case when this one fills up. I did that so as to get two for the price most places sell one of these. As to the other question, The green, pen-like object hanging out in the middle of the bottom row is my Raymay PenCut scissors. If you don't have any of these, well, they're awesome.)

If anyone has a spare Hero 812 in white that they're willing to part with, please PM me. I'm trying to find one for my collection.

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
