Hi friends ,

Wish u all a very happy new year .....

Here is a new Indian eyedropper - The MOHI harmony fountain pen .

Manufactured by 'Abhay Pan agency ' , Aurangabad , India , introduced by fellow FPN member ,amk .

Its a flat top acrylic pen with ink window.

Construction : Sturdy, pen is turned on a CNC turning machine from a acrylic rod.

Cap,Barrel, section : Flat top cap , gold plated clip , similar to Pelikan M200, Cap end is also having golden ring .

Section is having coarse threads than Airmail pens.Section is having a very comfortable grip for a person like me having medium hands. Barrel is having a nice broad ink vision window , which is generally absent in solid acrylic pens.

Cap and section both are having transparent ends. Color combination I have chosen is icy blue and white, other options are also available .

Nib and feed : Nib is manufactured by customer having MOHI , tipped fine engraving . Nib is between fine and medium.Writing example attached. Ebonite feed is pressed securely in section . Overall the pen is having a nice workmanship.

Price : Only 400/- INR ( 7 USD approx) , total value for money.

Conclusion : A nice and sturdy eyedropper , FPN members must have it in their collection.

Very handsome! I'd love to have one, and interrupt the ebonite buying spree... Where can I find one?

Yours is really beautiful. And that price is not too bad either!

That is a really lovely pen, and different from any of the pens I bought at Abhay Pens. The blue and ice colour scheme is very striking, somewhat reminiscent in its strong contrasts of a couple of Airmails I have.

Thanks for the namecheck - I am glad to have helped in my small way bring these pens a little more attention! for 400 rupees I think this one is a steal.

Too many pens, too little time!

the body looks nice, almost like celluloid. How's the nib compared to other steel nibs?

Son of Zeus. Brother of Hercules. Father of SWAG.

Thanks amk , precursor

This pen is having steel nib . From performance point of view. I will give 7 out of 10. Airmail nibs are one step ahead than this one.

Hi flummoxed ,

Yes , they also manufacture ebonite pens.

Most distinct feature is the ebonite pens with bottom ink window.

Attaching some snaps for you , hope it helps .

Very nice FPs.

Wud have felt more happy had you called them "indian manus"

Lamy & Pilot FPs the Best

Pen is meant for writing - not for looking :-)

I have the Sailor Naginata and some fancy blade nibs coming after 2022 by a number of new workshop from China.  With all my respect, IMHO, they are all (bleep) in doing chinese characters.  Go use a bush, or at least a bush pen.

It is the reason why I'm so keen on the idea of a personal library — of pens, nibs, inks, paper products, etc. — and spent so much money, as well as time and effort, to “build” it for myself (because I can't simply remember everything, especially as I'm getting older fast) and my wife, so that we can “know”; and, instead of just disposing of what displeased us, or even just not good enough to be “given the time of day” against competition from >500 other pens and >500 other inks for our at

Agreed.  And I think it’s good to be aware of this early on and think about at the point of buying rather than rationalizing a purchase..

Alas, one cannot know “good” without some idea of “bad” against which to contrast; and, as one of my former bosses (back when I was in my twenties) used to say, “on the scale of good to bad…”, it's a spectrum, not a dichotomy. Whereas subjectively acceptable (or tolerable) and unacceptable may well be a dichotomy to someone, and finding whether the threshold or cusp between them lies takes experiencing many degrees of less-than-ideal, especially if the decision is somehow influenced by factors o

I got my first real fountain pen on my 60th birthday and many hundreds of pens later I’ve often thought of what I should’ve known in the beginning. I have many pens, the majority of which have some objectionable feature. If they are too delicate, or can’t be posted, or they are too precious to face losing , still they are users, but only in very limited environments..  I have a big disliking for pens that have the cap jump into the air and fly off. I object to Pens that dry out, or leave blobs o
