Sailor Bung Box Hatsukoi (First Love) Aka Bung Box Sapphire

One of my most recent purchase, Bung Box Hatsukoi, also known as Bung Box Sapphire. The name "First Love" actually refers to Penman Sapphire, which I never had the chance to experience, as I converted to "Inkism" only a year ago.

Packaging

It comes with standard Bung Box box and in an elegant glass bottle. Also a piece of paper explaining the name of the ink.

To Conclude

I like it! I think it's a very pretty blue ink. The name is appropriate and descriptive. It has nice shading, lovely sheen. The behaviour is standard-Sailor, very good.

Thank you for the review Igsoltek! I love this ink, because in wet writers it's both bright and dark (in the areas where the ink pools and where it develops a gorgeous pink sheen).

Also thank you for the helpful comparison at the end! I've started a list of Sailor shop exclusives to order in January and I've been thinking about getting the BB Lapis Ocean since your last review, so this keeps pushing it on the list :)

If this ink is a good duplication of Penman Sapphire, no wonder Penman Sapphire is so widely loved!

Looks beautiful!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

@Ruaidhri This was an absolutely wonderful bit of writing, and I hope that you're able to maintain the style once all of the medications are out of your system.  Take care and recover quickly!

These comments make me sad as I sympathise with Ruaidhri, having great difficulties in being taken seriously. Or being taken at all (no off-colors jokes, please!) In spite of overwhelming odds,  Ruaidhri -now I know how to spell it- made a courageous decision and stuck to it. I was diagnosed with a similar growth in a place I will not reveal. Oh, well, if you insist it was Mount Sinai Hospital. But I firmly intend to walk in Ruaidhri's footsteps, if he will let me, on my next visit to Dublin.

Reminds me of the day my associates and I developed a cure for all mankind's ills and mistakenly wrote it down with invisible ink.

Was that the end of the Laboratory? Somehow the exactitude created a fully destructive device, as always!
