Monteverde Nib On A Noodler's Konrad?

I'm considering getting a Noodler's Konrad as well as a 1.1 stub black Monteverde #6 nib.

Have you tried to put a Montverde nib on a Noodler's Konrad?

Does it work very well? Does it sit far down into the section like the Goulet nib?

thanks.

Never tried the Monteverde, but have both Goulet and Conklin nibs on my Konrads and Ahabs. So the Monteverde should work out.

Be prepared for a good bit of tinkering and some trial and error. Please post your results, we want to know too.

Best of luck,

Yours,

From a person's actions, we may infer attitudes, beliefs, --- and values. We do not know these characteristics outright. The human dichotomies of trust and distrust, honor and duplicity, love and hate --- all depend on internal states we cannot directly experience. Isn't this what adds zest to our life?

Haha. If I do decide to get the combination, I won't buy it until at least 4 months. Sorry. :| Edited by junkstuff

do your Goulet and Conklin nibs fit far down in the section, so much so that the piston is able to push it out? Also, do they stay in the pen snugly? I don't want to accidentally push the feed or nib of place.

Not a Konrad, but I put a black Monteverde nib in my Ahab. It fits size-wise, but it didn't seem to quite fit right with the feed, no matter how much I tried to heat-set them together. There was always a gap between the two, and there were drying issues after the first few days following a fill. Perhaps I didn't heat the feed quite enough to really change its shape, or a nib that wasn't shaped just right.
