Diamine Poppy Red

This is a very vibrant, bold red ink! It has a hint of red and is in the fire engine red category. It's actually quite similar to the red ink in Pilot Precise V5 pens.

Thank you for this review. Poppy is my favourite Diamine red when all else fails! It is in constant rotation and complements everything fabulously!

This is my *other* favorite grading ink! I even keep a tiny bottle with it at work where I teach in case my 2 grading pens both run out; in that case I can use them as a dip pen with the Diamine Poppy Red.

Thanks, looks like a winner. My absolute "standard" red. I use it all the time. My fave used to be Skrip's (Slovenian) Red (thanks, Richard). but now it's Poppy (about 80% of the time or Wild Strawberry (15%).

This is my absolute favorite red to date.

I've tried other reds from other brands or limited edition inks, but I keep running back to this one. Its one of the few Diamine inks I own that does not smear after drying.

Poppy is a bright, vibrant, long lasting (hasn't faded on me yet!) ink that works and dries quickly on "everyday" paper and at it's price ($6 for a half bottle, 30 ml), one can not go wrong.

Ink, a drug.

I think I might have had a bad batch when I bought mine - it was definitely more pink than red and would smear like crazy! It was so bad that even the pen itself would smudge the ink when writing letters such as 'e' or 'o' etc... Might have to try some more at some point!

Currently In Use :
Pilot Custom Heritage 91 (SFM) Diamine Wild Strawberry

TWSBI Diamond 580 (F) - Diamine Blue Velvet

If that's a hint, it ain't subtle.

Nice color; good to know about for torturing students!
